Sam’s Club ad on Facebook: ‘You’re not alone’
- by admin
The Sam’s club is asking customers to stay tuned to social media as they try to get the word out about a new advertising campaign.
The club’s Facebook page posted a video Tuesday with the caption: “Your story matters.
We’re looking to reach out to you.
If you want to know more, you’re not the only one.
We want to hear from you.”
It appears to be a parody of the popular viral campaign for the company, called “SAMS,” that has seen more than a million people share videos of themselves doing the dishes in a bid to raise awareness of the health and well-being of its patrons.
The campaign, which was launched last year, asks people to share a photo on their Facebook wall of themselves with their meal.
In the video, a couple in a red suit stands next to a bowl of soup.
In a later post, the video shows the couple washing dishes.
“You’re doing this, you deserve to eat.
But, you can’t.
The bowl’s full.
You’re not safe,” the couple is heard saying.
The couple then appears to pass out.
A message from the Sam’s company to fans on the campaign’s Facebook Page says, “Thanks for sharing.
We appreciate the feedback, and look forward to sharing more on our upcoming campaigns.”
